Biography
"I have always focused on research in figurative and realistic drawings. After several attempts to break the classical canons and turn towards something more conceptual, I have concluded that the best way to express my ideas, passions, and moods is through attention to detail, which is why my production is so diversified. I cannot escape perfectionism and the only way to continue doing what I love is by mixing hyperrealism and conceptual art. I alternate classic paintings with pages from my favourite books and capture everyday life moments without ever renouncing the pleasure of painting anything that touches my soul.
I use direct language because I want my Art to be immediate and explicit.
Starting from subjects I often know well I enjoy digging deeper and exploring what is beyond mere appearance. People who are part of my life or have somehow left their mark on my path are therefore my primary choice of subjects.
I believe that our true self is hidden in some detail of our faces, hands, and feet and with my paintings I try to impress a feeling, a message, to capture that expression or gesture that hides our soul to make it eternal."

Alessandra Pagliuca was born in 1988 in Chivasso, in the province of Turin (ITALY), and moved to Tuscany in 2017, first to Lucca, then to Viareggio and finally found her home and her dimension in Camaiore, where she currently lives and works. She graduated from an art high school and decided to devote herself full time to painting and artistic experimentation as a self-taught artist, learning and studying also at the studios of other international artists.

Her “debut” took place in 2012, when she exhibited her first personal collection of works based on hyper-realistic research and the study of human faces and expressions.
She has exhibited in fairs and galleries both in Italy and abroad, and participated in various competitions that have seen her as a finalist and winner on several occasions.​
Her work is based not only on personal and group exhibitions, but also on the creation of commissioned works for private clients and public companies. Alessandra began, in fact, to work on commission with the opening of her atelier, in 2015, specializing in portraiture.​
At the outbreak of the pandemic, in 2019, she launched her platform dedicated to online courses in realistic drawing, and embarked on a long teaching path (both online and in person) that led her to tour the major Italian cities and to have a following of almost two thousand students all over the world.

A figurative artist specialized in realism and a teacher active on the national and international territory, Alessandra divides her time between creativity and entrepreneurship, seeking the continuous and fragile balance between productivity and artistic research.

Happy to announce that I am a FINALIST in the 17th edition of the ARC, Art Renewal Center, international competition, with the work #ConTatto_5.
From June 4 to 16, 2024, Camaiore (Lucca). The fusion of three artists and two arts, from all over Italy, and together for the first time in Versilia, in Camaiore. A unique exhibition and a program of events open to all, including art, textiles, music, and education.
I'm delighted to announce that my works, EMPTY CITIES, #NOMOPHOBIA_1, and #NOMOPHOBIA_2, have been selected for the Almenara Art Prize 2023 Online Exhibition, which runs until October 31st (www.almenaracollection.com). My works are available in the "Landscape" and "Figurative" categories. Many thanks to The Almenara Collection for the opportunity to be present alongside 2,000 artists from 60 different countries.
Alessandra Pagliuca is among the artists participating in VIA DELL'ARTE, a cultural event organized by the Municipality of Camaiore to promote art in the local scene. From July 23 to August 15, 2022, the artists' studios will be open to the public every evening.
The works from the #Nomophobia series selected for the 17th edition of Arte Genova. The two works #Nomophobia_1 and #Nomophobia_2 were selected by the Genoese art gallery SATURA, located in Palazzo Stella. The works will be on view from Friday, April 8th to Sunday, April 10th at the Blue Pavilion of the Genoa exhibition center, at the SATURA stand.

December 2019 | January 2020. The artist's work "Annalisa" was selected for the group exhibition organized by Itsliquid Group at The Line Gallery in London.
October 5-27, 2019. A two-person exhibition at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Lucca. In collaboration with the Fondazione Banca Del Monte di Lucca, the exhibition featuring artist Jacopo Da San Martino will have the theme "FRAGMENTS." Two different visions of reality and two different languages ​​for the same purpose.
